Player Commands

What Are Emotes?

Emotes are in-character social actions that help animate the world around you. Most can be used alone, or aimed at another player in the same room by adding their name after the command.

Immediate Actions

These emotes fire immediately and do not require consent. Add a player name after the command to direct it at someone in the same room.

Player Consent

Consent-Required Emotes

These emotes involve another player more directly, so they require the target to actively agree before the action fires.

Command Usage Notes
dancedance [player]Solo dance is free. Targeting a player sends a consent request.
hughug <player>Always requires consent. Target must be in the same room.
patpat <player>Always requires consent. Target must be in the same room.

How It Works

Consent Requests

  1. You type an emote targeting another player, such as hug Aria.
  2. The target receives a prompt asking them to accept or deny the request.
  3. They have 30 seconds to respond before the request expires.
  4. If accepted, the emote fires with unique text for you, the target, and bystanders.
  5. If denied, both players are notified cleanly and no emote is shown.

Accept or Decline

Responding to Requests

Command What It Does
acceptAccepts the most recent pending consent request.

denyDenies the most recent pending consent request.
deny [player]Denies a specific request if you have multiple pending.

  • You must be in the same room as your target for any directed emote.
